Our wide range of dosage forms comprises liquid formulations, ointments, creams, pastes, lotions, gels and suppositories.
Our reactors with 500, 1,000, and 3,000 L capacities enable the production of solutions and suspensions under controlled conditions (temperature, pressure, inert gases).
This equipment can also be used to produce syrup or alcohol solutions as well as solid-containing suspensions.
The reactors are CIP-equipped (Clean-In-Place). Solutions can be filtered (up to 0.2 ㎛) before transfer to the filling area and direct supply to the filling unit.
Our filling line is qualified to fill liquid forms into drop tubes and bottles.
Vifor Pharma currently produces more than 20 million suppositories a year.
Batches of 90 to 250 kg are filled into plastic strips. The average weight per unit is scalable to 1-3 g/unit.
In order to ensure an error-free packaging process, the suppository strips are packaged into boxes under constant control (completeness, barcode scanner to check printed secondary packaging material).
Semi-solid formulations can be produced with the following equipment:
A special plant controls the production of solutions and suspensions (up to 900 L). The enemas are filled (30 to 60 mL), sealed and labelled.
Enemas can be blistered under inert gas in order to improve the stability of the solution.
The enemas and leaflets are packaged into boxes (containing up to 21 units) directly at the plant. The folding boxes can also be imprinted.
